“With the developments of new broadcasting technologies and of possibilities of access to movies (the Internet and so on), cinema finds new spaces and places : aside the cinema hall for audiences and private accesses at home (TV), we’ve got now digital interfaces (computers, portable players, etc.) and internet cinema. It indicates a “spatial” mutation for cinema and legitimates the question of its future.
Baptiste Fertillet is studying these questions into his video practices of art in- stallation and of production. This is involving operations of deconstruction, subtraction, cutups & mashups, and of plays with individual memory. Thus the individual reappropriation of this media could become its sole existence and presence.”
